Skills class at Extended Hands are aimed at fostering and encouraging development of one's interests and passions through practical classes in sewing, knitting or crotchety. In experiences of isolation, depression or loneliness it can stimulate a sense of purpose and achievements. It is very gratifying to admire your own creations, whether it is for self or gifting and sharing.
Extended Hands team are always amazed to see many surprising bursts of brilliant & unique creations resulting from women working together and bouncing ideas of each other and sharing tips & knowledge.
The classes are very relaxed and personal giving one a chance to explore and pursue own choice of design and also a few can decide to work on similar pieces. There is always support from the team leaders who are very passionate about skills development.
It is also a great place for meeting new friends, often a lot of chit chat and laughs too.
