Thank you to the Mayor and Mayoress, Cllr Mahboob Hussain and the CEO of PCVS Leonie McCarthy for attending and for their support. Many also supported financially and through access to resources that would otherwise be inaccessible to EH.
Time will fail us to list every individual who have contributed both in cash and in kind, but we would like to recognise a few individuals who left indelible marks on this event. Many thanks to Dimension6000, DJ who provided his services for free, Extended Hands volunteers and their families, Family action, Craig&Gemma, Mr Williams, the Whittles, LNER and Paul who cooked all the meal--He left his family in London to cater for this event, Pastor Paul, Near Neighbours, Serena, St Mary’s Church, Temi, Tiwa and Mofe. Many thanks to A2B taxi company and Rebwar for providing transportation and to BGL who did not only donate the money for all the gifts for the adults but also wrapped them.
Extended Hands does not operate alone in providing services to our members and to the community but with the help and support of other organizations and agencies. The organizations referred to above, EH members and invaluable Christmas Day volunteers were instrumental in making 2019 Christmas Day Meal a huge success. It is really a clear evidence of our shared value of making Peterborough a caring city in the UK.
No one should ever be alone not if all of us can do something about it!
